JcWeather winter of 2010-2011 forecast
« on: November 17, 2010, 12:31:00 AM »
we feel that this winter will be just barely below average temperatures,
and our snow totals for the winter will be between 10-18 inches of snow.

we dont feel we will get any nor'easter storms and if we do it will be either a rain event or just to far off shore to effect the Philadelphia or Jersey areas.

there is the possibility of an ice storm or two.  ???

being a snow lover myself, this is disappointing.  :'(

have a safe winter everyone !

I was wondering about the temps because it seems to be a cool start so far....not good for my heat utility bill,  but I lowered my T stat by 1 degree to 66 for day and evening.  Would much rather have  a lot of snow than even a little ice...who can drive on ice?  cold and rainy Uck.....Oh well....

Thanks for the forecast.

I agree, i can deal with anything, except ice storms. we had fairly decent winters the past few years, i guess we have to get a cold one once in a while. i hope this winter goes pretty fast.

well it looks like every weather outlet got the snow totals wrong, Philly so far got 44" of snow for this winter, almost all weather outlets were at least 20" to low except JcWeather.
Only JcWeather got the winter Avg temperatures right, all outlets had above normal temps for this season, and we were well below avg.
it was the 43 coldest winter on record out of the past 137 years of record keeping. that means there were 94 warmer seasons than this year since 1874.
