Here is the 2011-2012 winter forecast.
« on: November 21, 2011, 03:13:36 AM »
OK People it's finally here.
I got some free time and decided to post the winter forecast early.

Temperature
Here at Jcweather we think the winter will be colder than normal,
with Temperatures below normal for December & January
and close to normal for February and March.

Snow
I know you snow lovers will hate this forecast,
But i feel Philadelphia will get well under 15 inches of snow :(  for the winter season.
while all other weather stations are forecasting more, it's my belief they are unsure and
are going with snow averages instead of forecasting so they can stay on the safe side.

below is all the local weather stations seasonal snow forecast.
CBS 3 = 21-28"
ABC 6 = 22-28"
NBC 10 = 30-40"
FOX 29 = 24-30"
JcWeather = Well under 15"

I do believe that well West of Philadelphia will get the brunt of any Nor'easter storms or the storms will go out to sea and
that Philly will be on the low side of any snow totals.
If i see any changes in the weather patterns for our area i will post them through out the winter.

Thanks for the forecast I'll keep this in mind

Colder than normal?  Is that going to be really cold like several days of single digits and teens?

Not for December, But January we could see single digits for lows and only mid teens for highs,
February would be closer to normal maybe slightly above normal, but still cold in 3 day shots.
End of January and February could see our best chance for snows.

Great.  That's the type of January weather I like and expect.
