2013 - 2014 winter snow forecast
« on: December 10, 2013, 07:41:53 AM »
Below is all the local weather stations seasonal snow forecast for 2013-2014.

CBS 3    =    15-20"
ABC 6    =    11.6"
NBC 10    =    14-18"
FOX 29    =    16-20"
JcWeather    = 30-40"

using all my data JcWeather comes up with a few storms up the coast(Noreasterns) for many mid range storms thru the winter.
My 30-40 inch winter forecast may even be a bit on the conservative side.

This winter will also be colder than normal.

well, it looks like the major weather forecasters for all the tv stations in the philadelphia area will be wrong again for the fourth year in a row, while JCweather will be spot on again for the forth year.

Here it is the first week of January and we already received 20.2 inches of snow.

It amazes me they have no clue how to forecast the weather ahead for the winter months.

TV mets are clueless.  Couldn't forecast what they're having for dinner that night.  Well done.

Xyonist, Welcome to Jcweather and the forums.

I think the TV mets try more not to be wrong than anything else.
They are scared to forecast anymore.
