Hurricane Earl will probably affect the east coast, Including the Jersey Shore over the Labor Day weekend, looks like people will have to make alternate plans.
Lets hope EARL stays just enough off shore to keep the rain and winds away.

TEMPERATURE OF 81.7 DEGREES. THE WARMEST MONTH ON RECORD IS JULY,
1994, WHEN THE AVERAGE TEMPERATURE WAS 82.1 DEGREES.

I have visited your site may times in the past,even I lived in the Holmesburg section of the city.
Now I live in NJ(not by choice).

Another record fell today(thurs),
it made it to 103 deg and broke the old record by 5 deg.
the old record was 98 set in 1994.

There were many records broken on July 6th for Philadelphia and surrounding areas.

Philadelphia 102 deg
Allentown 101 deg
Reading 102 deg

even Mount Pocono got into the act with a record of 94 deg.

most likely more records will fall on July 7th.

Record heat has hit most of south Jersey on July 6th .

record temps in:
Atlantic City 102 deg
Trenton 104 deg
Wildwood 99 deg

More records could be broken on July 7th.

It could very well be a record for both days (July 6 & 7) since both days record highs are only 98 deg and we are forecast to hit 99 on Tuesday around here.
Either way, it gonna be hot as hell around here. if you have a pool, use it, if you don't have one, find one...lol.
